It was such a delight to bring our joyful, playful storytelling and dance sessions to the beautiful surroundings of One Garden, Brighton this year, as part of their One Events programme.

Nestled within the historic Stanmer Park, One Garden is a restored walled garden that blends heritage with innovation. With stunning plant displays, a café, and creative community events, it provides the perfect setting for families to explore, learn, and unwind. It's a space that celebrates nature, creativity, and connection—everything our sessions aim to encourage.
We asked one parent what they thought of the venue, and they said:
“We really enjoyed the bright, light room… It’s lovely having the opportunity to enjoy Stanmer afterwards too. Great location.”
Here's a sneak peak of where our sessions take place...
One of our most memorable moments was during the May half-term, when we explored the delightful story Luna Loves Gardening, by Joseph Coelho. As rain poured down outside, we brought the garden inside - pushing grown-ups along like wheelbarrows, squelching in imaginary mud, and creating vibrant flowers with colourful scarves.
Later in the summer term, we took a trip to the seaside through Alfie Goes on Holiday by Shirley Hughes. Children delighted in rolling, throwing, and balancing beach balls; melting like ice creams in the sun; flying kites made of scarves and sticks; and forming rock pool shapes with their grown-ups.
It has been a joy to connect stories, movement, and imagination with the natural beauty of One Garden and the playful energy of little ones and their families. We can’t wait to return!
