Launching Adult Contemporary and Creative Classes

We’ve had a wonderful first couple of terms of our new Adult Contemporary and Creative Dance classes in Lewes, East Sussex. These classes bring together Contemporary dance technique with more creative and free tasks that allow participants to unleash their own creativity and ideas. We often start with some set dance sequences and travelling across the space (which is a gorgeous space!) before exploring a creative idea together.

Participants have commented on how much they benefit from and enjoy the class. My aim is to create a safe and non judgemental environment where people can find joy in dancing, embrace their creativity and flourish.

This term we have been exploring shape, creating a range of connected shapes together and exploring melting away and transitions between them. The group is incredibly creative and come up with some beautiful and inspiring dance phrases. I can’t wait for the new term ahead!

The class launched back in June 2023 and takes place in the beautiful space of The TRINITY Centre, Lewes on Fridays 12-1pm. We are so lucky to have such an inspiring and creative venue, with a gorgeous floor too! There is a café on site, giving the opportunity to pair up some dancing with a cuppa and a chat too.
